Marks

This work is a photogram archive of 18th and 19th century American silver. The examples collected range from formal dinnerware to trophies and high-ranking military swords. All the pieces have been made by a variety of makers including Paul Revere, The Gorham Co. to Tiffany & Co. The photograms are made by placing photocopies of the silver pieces directly onto gelatin silver paper then exposing it to light.
